We caught up with Belgian Team manager and five times World MX Champion Joel Smets last weekend and had a chat about selection for the Belgian team at this years Monster Energy Motocross of Nations. Smets is excited about the event as he has some good riders to select from, including Ken De Dycker, Clement Desalle, Joel Roelants, Jeremy Van Horebeek and Kevin Strijbos.

Joel Smets interview - My MXoN Experiences

Joel Smets is one of the true greats of Grand Prix Motocross, but he is also a rider who always wore his heart on his sleeve. When racing for Belgium in the Motocross of Nations he was not always lucky, but he was fast enough on several occasions and helped Belgium to success in this event.
