Interview Monday 15th October 2012 By LeBigUSA.com

Christophe Pourcel is finished with racing the FIM World Motocross Championship. Having finished fourth in this years MX1 Championship and with a load of new riders entering the MX1 class in 2013 Pourcel will more than likely run on National Championship level. Here is a cool interview run on the American website LeBigUSA.com.

Pourcel was of course replaced by Tommy Searle in the Kawasak team after the rider and team couldn't find the budget for him to continue.

The interview was made at a Charity race in France that Pourcel himself organized. Thanks to LeBigUSA for letting us run this interview. www.lebigusa.com is the most read French website on American Motocross news.

LeBigUSA.com: How was this "Charity Day" Frontignan?
Christophe Pourcel: Very good. There is a good atmosphere here in Frontignan. The track was well prepared with a lot of effort on the part of volunteers. The soil is good and jumps, whether tables or double, are not dangerous. It is a good track for both amateurs and experienced. It's nice to meet and chat with fans. We share a good time together.

How do you feel about your new bike?
I have not ridden a lot with the KTM but the bike fits me well at the moment. There is a good torque and 350 cm3 are a good compromise. We still have some testing to do by the end of the year. We'll see how it goes at Bercy.

What is your program by the end of the year?
I have two other "Charity Day" planned: one in Lacapelle-Marival (Sunday) and the other in Châteauneuf-les-Martigues (October 28). I think there will be a lot of people. I then participate in Paris-Bercy SX 9, 10 and 11 November. I did not really aim for this event. I'll do my best to ride at the forefront while the public pleasure. After that, I go back to Florida. We also test suspensions to do with the KTM.

And for the 2013 season?
I have not decided yet but I refused several proposals. I have a bike to play before it is useless. My story is complete with Kawasaki. I now have the support of KTM France. That said, I have nothing particular on hand at the moment and I focus on Bercy. We'll see. One thing is certain: I do not want to return to the World Championship GP.
