Rui Goncalves is one of those riders who really deserves some luck coming his way. The former KTM and Honda factory rider had a terrible 2012 and with a new team and hopefully a little luck Goncalves can easily be a top five guy in the tough MX1 class. We caught up today and asked him about his new deal.

Rui Goncalves interview - Travelling and Superfinal

Rui Goncalves has looked pretty impressive after two rounds of the FIM World MX2 Championship and will go into Valkenswaard, a circuit he likes with a lot of confidence. The Honda World Motocross are in action once more this weekend as the team contest their last competitive meeting before the MX1 World Championship begins in Sevlievo, Bulgaria on the 9-10 April. Racing in the 4th and final round of the Italian Championship in Odolo, Rui Gonçalves and Evgeny Bobryshev will be looking to build momentum which they can carry into the start of their 2011 world championship campaign.

Red Bull Yamaha rider Antonio Cairoli and Red Bull KTM rider Rui Goncalves both captured brilliant victories at the Grand Prix of Latvia today. Cairoli went 2-1 to win the MX1 class and Goncalves scored 2-1 results for victory in the MX2 class
