Grand Prix of Germany - Rider comments

Tony Cairoli comments
"It is hard to pass on this track and I waited too long behind Josh at the start of the first moto. Only on the last lap could I catch Max and there was not enough time to set him up to overtake properly. When I was second in the next moto I looked for two laps for the right line to pass and then rode my race. I could hear the crowd and it was pretty good for me because I could not see the pit-board so I was listening to them to know if Max was coming close! We are now in the second half of the championship and I am having fun again. I made some more points today."
Ken De Dycker comments
It was disappointing in the first moto, I couldn't pass anyone and the glass come out of my goggles and I had sand in my eyes and stuff. The second moto was better and I felt good and I am happy to be on the podium. I passed Max jumping into the hole and I took a deep rut and I got in front of him, it was a clean pass. The heat made it difficult for everyone and we also had rain, so it was rough, but it is better like this. My shoulder is okay, I have problems with my wrist a little and when it is fast I have problems with it, when it is slower I am okay with it.
Max Nagl comments
When I had the first heat and I was leading and I said to myself I am not going to make the same mistakes as in the qualification race on Saturday, but I pushed too hard and I was tired in the second moto. I am not disappointed, the goal was to be on the podium, the second heat I also wanted to win and it isn't that easy. It is really important that we have good riders, hopefully now the media and television will come back in Germany for Motocross.
Of course this is a good preview for the Motocross of Nations (in 2013 at the circuit), lets hope they don't change the track for that event. Of course every lap you can hear the crowd, it is amazing feeling, the first heat I was really tired, but the crowd helped me, and the second heat I was really tired. Of course Cairoli's plan was to attack me again in that first moto, but I held on and was able to win it.
Ken Roczen comments
Well, I hoped this could happen, and after the first two races (rounds of the championship) I saw I could be on the podium and we said with a bit of luck I can get on the podium. Musquin was fast in the second moto and he was fast and I saw he gave me a block pass and I didn't want to crash, so I took an easy second to get the GP win. I will try and get better results. I heard that people wait a long time for their home GP victory, I don't realize it, still I don't. It is awesome that everyone knows me, but it isn't always easy, but I do my best.
Marvin Musquin comments
I finished third for the Grand Prix and I am really happy about that. The track was really rough, but I enjoyed it. I didn't have a good first moto, because of the crashes, but the second moto was better for me. Ken was really strong, but I was able to catch him and race with him, and then pass him and get the moto win.
Steven Frossard comments
I had a really good first moto I put in a good lap and it was my second heat win this year. Second moto I crashed twice and that made it hard to win the second moto. It takes a lot of energy to come back through the pack when you have crashes and I just gave up at the end and tried to bring the bike home okay. I do like this track, but it is difficult to overtake, but I can say I like it, it is fine.
