Spain celebrates FMX Torero Torres

KTM rider Dany Torres grabbed victory in front of 23,000 fans at the fourth stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2009 in Madrid on July 17. Two icons of the FMX scene, Nate Adams (USA) and Robbie Maddison (AUS), took second and third place respectively in the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas bullfighting arena.

Local FMX matador Dany Torres threw down a spectacular run in his semi final to convince the judges and leave his opponent, America's Jeremy Stenberg, with no chance as he advanced to the final.

There, the 22-year-old from Seville came up against the winner of the previous Red Bull X-Fighters event in Texas, Nate Adams, who had himself eliminated by Tower Bridge conqueror Robbie Maddison in the semi-final.

Following the first European stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2009, Nate Adams has taken over the lead in the overall standings with 225 points, ten ahead of the previous leader Eigo Sato (JPN), who could only manage ninth place in Madrid.

The Japanese rider is closely followed by Mat Rebeaud (SUI) and Robbie Maddison (AUS), equal on 210 points.

The final stop of the international FMX tour takes place at London's Battersea Power Station on August 22.

Red Bull KTM Factory Team - World Domination

The Red Bull KTM team are working on World domination and with the rider lineup they have it is very possible. Last weekend in Mantova they won both the MX1 and MX2 overalls and many of the orange riders looked strong. Here is a really cool video from Tim at T7-Videoproductions.

Antonio Cairoli and Rui Goncalves on their KTM's - Looking Good

We were sent this images from www.mxbars.net of World MX1 Champion Antonio Cairoli and Rui Goncalves riding the KTM machine. It's hard to tell if it's the 350cc or 450cc machine Cairoli is riding, although the Italian legend is looking pretty sharp. Fabio Serra is the photographer.

KTM - A little History

KTM Sportmotorcycle is an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer. The company was founded in 1934 by engineer Hans Trunkenpolz in Mattighofen. It started out as a metalworking shop and was named Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkenpolz Mattighofen. In 1954 KTM began producing motorcycles.

KTM 350cc - A New Age for Motocross

It's been a while coming, but we might just have the perfect machine. When the World Motocross Championships went to 450cc machine it seemed a step in the right direction. Then came the 250cc 4-strokes of KTM, and the other brands followed. Now we have the 350cc KTM, and I just can't wait to see how this baby runs against the 450's.

KTM rider Chris Birch declared winner of the 2009 Roof of Africa

The 2009 edition of the Roof of Africa, well known as the "Mother of all Hard Enduro events" was won by New Zealander Chris Birch onboard his KTM 300 after times were adjusted at the end of the three day event. Birch also won in 2008.

Brayton Wins In Genoa Supercross

American racer Justin Brayton has won the Genoa Supercross, leading home fellow American Josh Grant and French rider Gregory Aranda. In front of a large crowd Brayton didn't have it all his own way, but was consistent enough to take the victory.

Stewart Unbeatable on Friday in Bercy 2009 - Musquin Podiums

As expected American hero James Stewart dominated Friday night of the Bercy Supercross. The Yamaha mounted AMA Champion won every race he entered and was in a class of his own. World MX2 Champion Marvin Musquin got stronger as the night went on finishing third in the Final.
