A bunch of Aussies, three British riders, a couple of Frenchman and a South African will do their best to give it to the American riders in the 2010 AMA Supercross Championship which kicks off next weekend in Anaheim, California.

While Tyla Rattray, Brett Metcalfe, Steven Clarke, and Jake Moss do their best on the East Coast AMA Lite Supercross Championship the other Internationals, Christophe Pourcel, Gautier Paulin, Max Anstie, and Tommy Searle will try and give it to the American riders in Anaheim next weekend at the opening round of the AMA Supercross Championship.

Of course in the Supercross class Chad Reed leads the Internationals, with Grant Langston, Michael Byrne and Matt Moss (out injured), and Dan Reardon holding out the other places and all hoping to be able to battle with James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto, Andrew Short, Ryan Dungey and the other leading Americans.

I decided to ask a bunch of riders, journalists, photographers, team managers and whatever else I could find to give me their tips for the top five in the Supercross class, and here they are.

Surprisingly five of our panel didn't pick James Stewart, three going with Chad Reed and two going with Ryan Villopoto.

Stewart And Hansen Win - Roczen DNF

James Stewart has won the Pheonix Supercross with a stunning victory ahead of A1 winner Ryan Villopoto. In the Lites class it was Josh Hansen who took the win. Kenny Roczen crashed in his qualification heat, before winning the last chance qualifier, then crashed again in the Lites Main and DNFed.

Ryan Dungey and Ryan Villopoto sit atop the AMA Supercross class points lead, knotted at 145 points apiece as Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, heads south this weekend to Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.

Anaheim III - AMA Supercross Championship 2010

Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, returns to Angel Stadium this Saturday for its third and final stop in Anaheim, Calif., with Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey, and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Jake Weimer, leading the AMA Supercross and AMA Supercross Lites class points races, respectively.

Millsaps wins in San Diego - Monster Energy AMA Supercross

Red Bull Honda rider Davi Millsaps has won the San Diego Supercross, leading home Josh Hill and Ivan Tedesco. Ryan Dungey finished in sixth place and still leads the points race. Ryan Villopoto came home in fourth place.

Villopoto and Weimer talk about San Francisco

Ryan Villopoto returned to the top step of the podium Saturday night with his first win of 2010. Kawasaki’s Jake Weimer earned his fourth straight supercross lites podium with a runner-up finish.

Jake Weimer and his Anaheim II victory - My race

Jake Weimer had another great night at Anaheim as he won the main event for the third straight week. Hansen blasted out to the holeshot and finished fourth. Villopoto finished seventh.
