Making boy's men - Doncaster Moto Parc
News Thursday 11th February 2010
At a time when businesses where considering the economic climate as a time to tighten their belts 12 months ago, Ed Bradley decided that the best plan of action for Doncaster Moto Parc (DMP) was to be proactive and move forward, to improve the former British championship racing, practice and coaching facility.
This began with creating a new team and using creative ideas. From the inception many changes have occurred at DMP including Mylaps practice, a new membership system and many track changes, giving customers and clubs a venue that is challenging and exciting to practice and race on.
The team have focused on making it easy for riders to enjoy practicing in a safe environment and are continually improving on what we have built so far. DMP and the team have been rewarded in away that makes each of us feel very proud and motivated to keep delivering a high quality racing, practice and coaching facility.
First of all, we have broken the 10,000 barrier. DMP has had over 10,000 riders visit our facility in the last 12 months. That is a massive increase of just over 1000 rider visits and its our intention to build on this.
Secondly, this summer marks our 20 Anniversary. 2 decades ago we built the first track at Doncaster Moto Parc and as many of our customers know, there is very little resemblance, compared to then and now!
Expect us to have a big party on August bank holiday weekend, too! Finally, the news we are most excited about, is that the ACU will be staging a multi british championship event at DMP on 17/18 July this year.
The event is made up of the British minibikes, British ladies and British youth motocross championships.
Owner of Doncaster Moto Parc, Ed Bradley said; “We have been working very hard over the last 12 months with one goal in mind; To stage a round of a national championship (something we last did in 2002)....and we got three in one go! It's a great feeling and exciting, which is a unique vibe that you pick up on when you're at DMP.”
“The only way this has happened is through Merv Hornsby's fresh approach, Brian Walkers keen persistence and the marshals dedication each and every time they brave the elements. Most importantly it's our valued customers who create a great environment to be in and inspire us to keep pushing us forward.....Thanks guys.”
