MxLarge Story
Internet statistics - MXlarge leads the way
News Monday 17th May 2010 By Geoff Meyer
Then again, if you consider the leading five websites in the World are www.google.com, www.facebook.com, www.youtube.com, www.yahoo.com, and www.live.com then facebook is in good company.
Of course if you want information on website viewers one of the best places to go is over at www.alexa.com, this is the most accurate we could find and will give you an idea who is ranked where, be it in Motocross or life in general.
I guess the reason I am mentioning this is because www.mxlarge.com has improved its viewers by triple since our design change nearly a year ago, and what has also helped is the fact many computers now accept the translation program from Google where you can translate the whole website into any language you like. Our figures in America, Great Britain and Australia have always been good, but now we are getting interest from all over the World.
A year ago we had around 50,000 readers a month, we now have around 150,000 readers a month. We are still growing, still trying to make MXlarge more interesting to the reader and of course advertiser.
As you might have noticed the clients MXlarge now have has grown as the readership has grown. Advertising on the internet is now something that really interests companies and as one of the leading English speaking websites for the Grand Prix series we are really proud of our progress.
Some other websites that I find interesting are www.motoxmag.de, www.mxinmotion.be, www.motocrossmx1.com, www.motomagazine.co.uk, and www.motocrossmag.nl. Classic designs and good content. Unfortunately two are in the Dutch language and one in German, but hey, Google now translates.
The future is bright for www.mxlarge.com and we would like to thank all our clients and readers for bringing us to the top of the MX web World in Europe. We have a long way to go, two months ago we cracked inside the top 400,000 websites at 396,754, but in recent weeks have gone to 278,000 and want to be around 200,000 be the end of the year. Hey, we are a million miles away from websites like Facebook and Google, but we feel pretty comfortable in our own little world.
