Dirt 3-2-1 - Set To Explode

News Wednesday 30th June 2010 By Elvis Presley

Motocross racers from around Europe are invited to Britain this summer for a weekend of race action at Dirt 3-2-1. The organisers of Dirt 3-2-1 – the UK’s #1 off-road event – are extending their welcome to racers from right around the world at this year’s festival of off-road fun that will be held on the weekend of July 31/August 1 at FatCat Motoparc near Doncaster in South Yorkshire.

The event sees four different types of racing held over the two days with sprint enduro, supercross and endurocross all happening on day one before a full day of motocross racing takes place on the Sunday.

There are classes for riders of all ages and skill levels from six-year-old novices right up to fully-fledged Pros in the supercross and motocross events while the two enduro events – the endurocross and sprint enduro are for adult racers only. The scores from each of the different types of competition will all be added together to find an overall champion in each class – the King of Dirt! With great prizes for the youths and amateurs plus a large slice of prize money up for grabs in the pro class there’s plenty to race for.

All the racing activities will be run by the MC Federation who are well known for their excellent work at the British Red Bull Pro Nationals. The MCF will be bringing their full Pro Nats set-up along so the race tracks – which are all being revamped especially for Dirt 3-2-1 – will be fully dressed with inflatable arches and loads of banners and flags that will give the racing a real GP feel. One event licences to the MCF will be available for a super-low price and transponders will be available to hire for a small fee for anyone who doesn’t currently own one.

The venue for Dirt 3-2-1 is only around 45 minutes drive from the sea port of Hull which is regularly serviced by ferries sailing from both Rotterdam and Zeebrugge. In the local area there’s plenty to see and do for families who want to make a long weekend of it including indoor skiing and snowboarding on real snow, some amazing water parks, theme parks – one which is home to the longest roller coaster in Europe – zoos and even a place called Diggerland where visitors can play around in earth moving machinery! Yorkshire is also central to some of the UK’s leading motocross practice facilities so if you’d rather ride midweek rather than have some extra curricular fun then you can do that too!

For more information on Dirt 3-2-1 log on to the event’s official website at www.dirt321.co.uk, for tourist information about the local area visit www.yorkshire.com and for good deals on ferry crossings see www.nutttravel.com. We look forward to hopefully seeing some new faces in the UK at Dirt 3-2-1 on July 31/August 1.
