Josh Hill seriously injured in FMX crash

San Manuel Yamaha’s Josh Hill was injured in a horrific crash this afternoon at the Deft Family Headquarters. Hill has been attempting to learn the backflip in preparation for X Games 16, where he was entered in both the MotoX and Speed and Style events.

After flipping perfectly into the foam pit multiple times, Hill took it to dirt and successfully landed a 75-foot flip to dirt. It was on his second attempt that all went wrong, and Hill ejected from his bike while completely upside down. Hill landed on his feet and was narrowly missed by his YZ450F, but in the impact he suffered a broken right femur, broken right humerous, a fractured pelvis and a partially collapsed lung. Hill is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow (Friday) evening.
