UK Dirt Bike Show Goes International in 2010
News Thursday 05th August 2010
The UK's annual Dirt Bike Show, now in its tenth year, is set to expand its horizons this year by taking on a new international image and aiming to attract increasing numbers of overseas exhibitors and visitors from Europe, the USA and beyond.
The newly named International Dirt Bike Show 2010 is based at the popular and well-established 10,000m2 Stoneleigh Park Exhibition Centre, near Coventry, which benefits from excellent transport links through nearby airports at Birmingham and Coventry, as well as major rail and motorway links. The International Dirt Bike Show 2010 will run from November the 4th to November the 7th 2010 and is organised by Promoto, the company headed up by former motocross GP star David Watson.
"Last year was our tenth Dirt Bike Show and in the face of the worst recession in years we still managed to increase both UK and overseas visitor numbers over the previous year, proving that the Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh is still the firm focal point for off-road enthusiasts of every description," explains Watson.
"The Dirt Bike Show has grown in stature to the point where it is the only major off-road show in Europe. Its timing at the beginning of November, coupled with its location close to international airports, makes it the perfect launchpad for overseas companies to introduce their new season product ranges.
"We are already in discussion with leading UK, European and North American companies who are looking to launch their 2011 ranges to a dedicated off-road audience and we will be promoting the show throughout Europe to attract international trade and consumer show visitors."
Exhibition space sales for the 2010 International Dirt Bike Show are running well ahead of last year, with previous exhibitors booking early to secure favoured positions as well as extra space.
Will Fripp, Marketing Director of Madison UK said, "Madison and Thor MX are pleased to continue to exhibit at this year's International Dirt Bike Show. We have attended the Show for many years now and find it one of the best ways to reach so many dedicated off-road enthusiasts in one place. The Dirt Bike Show is quite unique to the MX industry. In no other single channel that Madison works in, can you find a show with such a comfortable mix of trade and retail, which makes a great show for the consumer, retailer and exhibitor alike."
"The International Dirt Bike Show 2010 is a building block for the future," said Dave Watson
