Herlings to miss GP of Brazil

News Monday 09th August 2010 By Geoff Meyer

Jeffrey Herlings will miss the next round of the FIM World Motocross Championship with his injured shoulder. The Red Bull Factory KTM rider will return for the Grand Prix of Lierop in Netherlands. As mentioned on MXlarge last week it looks like he will also miss the MXoN.

"It was a rough weekend, also with the rain on Saturday. I got a good jump out of the gate in the first moto and I stayed in third place for a long time before I got passed by Marvin. In the second moto I was fifth or sixth at the start and then one of the riders crashed in front of me and I went down and dislocated my shoulder. I hope the injury heals quickly and I will ride again when I am 100% fit."

Jeffrey went to the hospital in Holland today. The doctors diagnosed that he needs surgery at the end of the season and that he has to rest till after the Grand Prix of Brazil. Herlings will be back for the fifth round of the Dutch Open Championship Series in Emmercompascuum on August 29th and the week after he will race the Grand Prix of the Netherlands at Lierop.
