Sword wins Ken Hall Trophy - Motocross International

News Wednesday 01st September 2010

Fresh from his British Championship success at Silverstone, Stephen Sword and his Buildbase CCM Racing team moved on to The Ken Hall Trophy MX for the Bank Holiday Monday National event where Swordy took the overall win on the day.

After gating in 3rd, Steve moved up a position in the first few laps and began reeling in current British MX1 Champion Brad Anderson, taking advantage of Brads dying rear moose, Steve pounced to take the win.

In the second encounter Steve gated 2nd behind Brad and raced with him for half the race, the overall was important to Steve so he sat in second to the flag to take overall victory on the day.

A delighted CCM Team manager Dave Thorpe said after the race.

"The Ken Hall Trophy has been won by CCM in the past some 30 odd years ago so it was nice to add this prestigious trophy to the Patchquick that Tom Church won last year on the Buildbase CCM. We are ticking more of the boxes this year."
