In the opening MX1 moto Max Nagl took the holeshot ahead of Cairoli but the Italian was quickly into the lead, followed by Nagl, Bobryshev, Desalle and Frossard. All the favorites for a race win have great starts.

Bobryshev finds how way past Nagl and looked to chase Cairoli, making some attempts to pass quickly. The Russian looks fast, but Cairoli is also reaching top form. This could turn into the race of the season.

Not a lot changed at the front as Cairoli continued to lead and Bobryshev continued to chase, not more than a second between the two as Nagl held third another second back. In fourth and fifth were Desalle and Frossard. Further back came Philippaerts, Goncalves, de Dycker, Boog, Ramon, Boissiere, Guarneri, Leok, Simpson and Barragan.

Desalle makes a mistake and drops back to sixth place, extending Cairoli’s Championship lead in the process. The Italian has also broken a little away from Bobryshev who is now getting some hurry-up from Nagl and Frossard.

Frossard passes Nagl and then quickly starts putting pressure on Bobryshev and with two laps to go Frossard also passes the Russian after some really intense racing between the two. Frossard now sets out after Cairoli, who is now just one second ahead of the Frenchman.

Bobyrshev and Nagl have also followed Frossard and we might see a really exciting last lap, four riders within a second of each other. Lapped riders start to play into the hands of the race and Cairoli makes the most of passing the slower riders quicker than Frossard. As Cairoli crosses the finish line he points his finger angrily at a lapped rider. Frossard is second only a couple of bike lengths behind the winner and Bobryshev is third, followed by Nagl.

Cairoli took the lead quickly in the second MX1 moto, but he was passed just as quickly by Frossard, although the Italian fought back to take the lead again and lead the riders into the first lap. Further back were Desalle, Bobryshev and Ramon.

Cairoli and Frossard pulled away from Bobryshev and Ramon and Desalle trailed in fifth place, then came, the old guard of De Dycker, Goncalves, Leok, Guarneri and Philippaerts. Nagl was back in 15^th place, just one place behind Marc De Reuver.

Goncalves and Leok were in a good battle for sixth place and further up front Bobryshev had pulled away from Ramon and Desalle, the two Suzuki riders have a little battle of their own for fourth and fifth place.

Ramon and Desalle came into problems and dropped back to 6^th and 8^th places, extending Cairoli’s Championship lead over the Belgian rider. In the end it as Cairoli who went 1-1 for the GP win, followed by Frossard who scored 2-2 and Bobryshev in third with 3-3 scores.
