2012 Motocross season will kick off in Valence

News Wednesday 22th November 2011 By Pascal Haudiquert

As it’s now usual since a couple of years, it’s in Valence that the new season will start on February 18th and 19th. This year the event will not be compete with any other International event, and the best riders will probably be in Valence to prepare the 2012 season.

Since several years now it’s on the 3rd weekend of February that Valence organizes its International Motocross and this year again the French event will keep this date. Last February most of the GP teams selected Valence at their program, and of course President Lebrun expects to enter a strong list of riders in the MX2 and MX1 classes.

We don’t have other choices than to organize on the third weekend of February, and we try to save our date even if there are more and more clubs who also want to promote an International event. This year most of the factory teams were behind us and came to Valence rather than other locations, and we have built a strong relationship with the teams and riders” he explains.

On February 18th and 19th, another top rider will succeed to Demaria, Everts, Coppins, Townley, Rattray, Roczen, Philippaerts, Cairoli, Tonus or Desalle who already won in Valence. Most of the previous winners have been World or vice World Champions, and gave to this event all his prestige; the fans know that the best riders will be there, while riders and teams know that the promoter will treat them as any professional organizer.
