British Supercross Championship - MCF sanctioned

News Thursday 14th December 2011 By Geoff Meyer

As of immediate effect, the final round of the Future West British Supercross series due to be staged at the LG arena, NEC, Birmingham on February 18th 2012 will be sanctioned and supported by the forward thinking MC Federation.

"John Hellam contacted our office recently to request our support to continue with his series, and whilst the MCF or Events 22 (owners and organisers of the Red Bull Pro Nationals series) have no immediate plans to stage Supercross or Arenacross in the UK, we felt that without our support the entire series would disappear” explained MCF general manager Roy Barton. “To be clear, Future West are still currently the organisers of the series whilst the MCF will supply the correct insurance cover and manage all rider entries in the same way as we do for many of our events and clubs”.

For all rider entries and enquiries please contact Claire at the MC Federation on 01865 343666 or log on to www.mcfederation.com (on line entries will be available from 24th December). Please note that the office will be closed from midday 23rd Dec and re-open at 9am on 3rd January.

The MCF started in 2008 by sanctioning the successful 2 stroke British Championship. They have continued to develop at an impressive rate with 20 clubs on their books for 2012 and are due to sanction over 300 events, licensing over 2,000 riders in the UK… and the number is increasing weekly!
