Reed looking for second win - Anaheim II

A second place finish in Oakland last weekend saw Reed move into the championship lead tied on points with Ryan Dungey, but the Honda rider acknowledged he let an opportunity slip.

“It had been a while since I had led a ‘Main Event’ and I felt that I rode quite tight during the first half of the race,” Reed explained.
“Once James got by me, I took a breath and tried to latch onto the back of him. I got my flow back and I was happy with the second half of the race. Its great to be in sharing the points lead with Ryan (Dungey) once again, lets hope I can hold onto it this year,” he continued.

“We are four rounds in and we are in the title hunt. When you look at last year it was Round 13 or 14 until I was part of this championship.
For me personally I think it is important to be up there from the beginning. I stand by what I said here at Anaheim 1 - I have to win races! The consistency is there, it always has been, but I need to get the wins. I felt that last weekend I was in a good position with the holeshot but didn’t make the most of it,” Reed said.
