Herlings Thanks Supporters - Recovery Time

News Wednesday 25th July 2012 By Geoff Meyer

After his terrible car accident on Sunday Jeffrey Herlings was flown out of Russia and straight to his doctor. Despite only suffering a heavy concussion the Flying Dutchman will be off the bike for a week or so before he starts to prepare for the Grand Prix of Czech Republic.
Here is what Jeffrey wrote.

Finally got home from my terrible nightmare, Just a quick update. Sunday went great I went 1-1. Then on our way to the hotel we got in a very big car accident. Myself, Ruben, Johnny V and another friend were involved. My big luck was that Ruben and I was in the back seats, although I was knocked out for several seconds.

Monday Stefan Everts and Pit Beirer made work of all what happend by getting Ruban and myself on a private jet from Moscow back home! Only option to go home was with a doctor because I had à little fracture in a bone in front of my brain, which heals in 7-10 days normally. Otherwise I had to stay 7 to 10 more days in Moscow.

From now on I'll be of to the doctor everyday to get healed up asap to hopefully be riding beginning of next week again.
Big thanks for all the support I have been getting. Especially à big thanks to Pit Beirer, Stefan Everts' and Ruben for being there for me 100% and all the KTM Crew.
