Ken Roczen (KTM Factory Racing) came to Gaildorf, to test out the new KTM 450. With complete success! For in both races of today's race day of the 18-year-old headed sovereign of the starting field. Close on his heels was also racing in two passes, recovered Max Nagl (KTM Racing Sarholz). The 24-year-old graduated in Gaildorf his second race weekend and proved that he is fit well on hard ground and can certainly compete with the reigning world champion Ken Roczen.
Max Nagl had in the second run reckoned without Xavier Boog. On the home stretch and overtook him, the Frenchman won seven thousandths of a second place. A heart-stopping finale. In both races, a tightly packed leading group followed the German Marcus Schiffer (Silent Sport Suzuki), the Czech Filip Neugebauer (Monster Energy Kawasaki Elf Team Pfeil) and Frenchman Romain Febvre (Bodo Schmidt KTM Motorsport). The day's victory is thus to Ken Roczen, followed by Xavier Boog and Max Nagl. In the overall table of the ADAC MX Masters will continue to Marcus Schiffer with 263 points. Second Filip Neugebauer is with 176 points, third with 174 points, Romain Febvre.
Ken Roczen: "The 450 certainly suits me really well. I had fun! In the first race I was not entirely happy with the start, in the second it went much better. Overall I am very pleased with the weekend. The track was great and there is absolutely nothing wrong. "
Xavier Boog: "So I'm really happy with my performance does not. I'm not in the first race went well and had trouble finding an optimal track. Only at the end I found my line and then it was ok. In the second run I had a better start and it was much better. The track was exactly to my liking, even though I am still worried by the heavy rains. I am looking forward to two more runs in the ADAC MX Masters Emmen and Holzgerlingen. I still have a chance in the championship standings to a top 5 ranking. "
Max Nagl: "My second run was great! I had made a good start and only a small error. That's why I was not up front. The race was great, I was behind Kenny and was able to maintain second place. In the final round, five were lapped at one time and I'm not coming over. I almost fell then even then I was overtaken at Xavier last jump before the finish. That's not annoying. For me this was a good preparation for the World Cup and that was a great race. Ken was a tad faster, but I've only been practicing a couple of weeks and I have so much to catch up. Therefore I see no problem. I'm still at 80% and the other guys already on their top level. I think I can catch up to the next race. "
Jeremy Seewer: "What a great one day. Finally I have won both races and not just one. The second run was extremely exciting, but it was a very fair and almost friendly duel with Sulivan Jaulin. For me, this day could have gone any better. The track was great, but it's always good to Gaildorf and I like it like to race here. Despite the rain in the morning it was perfect, exactly the way I like it. Now I will train hard in the sand - in Lierop at the European Championships - to be prepared for Emmen well. "Brian Hsu, "It was a very demanding route, because it rained a lot. But at the end of the day I see a good training and good preparation for my next race. I wanted to be among the top 3 and above all a safe race. Now I'm first. I am very pleased. The other pilots were all very good and it was certainly not easy. In the last round came Ivanov and I just had to do my best. "
