Josh Hill seriously injured in FMX crash

San Manuel Yamaha’s Josh Hill was injured in a horrific crash this afternoon at the Deft Family Headquarters. Hill has been attempting to learn the backflip in preparation for X Games 16, where he was entered in both the MotoX and Speed and Style events.

Villopoto to race in Australian Supercross

Global Action Sports confirmed today that one of the biggest supercross stars on the planet, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, will compete in the final two rounds of the Monster Energy Super X in Sydney at Parramatta Stadium on November 27 and Brisbane at QSAC on December 4, 2010.

Team Ireland picked for MXoN

With less than nine weeks remaining until the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations at Thunder Valley, Colorado, USA; Ireland are able to announce whom their official line up of riders will be. After a unanimous decision, team manger Stephen Russell has revealed that Gordon Crockard (MX1), Martin Barr (MX2) and Stuart Edmonds (MX3) will represent Ireland on September 26th with Robert Hamilton travelling as first reserve.

John Hall - Rest in Peace

As it always would be the news of Australian Enduro legend John Hall passing away was a shock. I woke this morning to an e-mail from old friend Andy Wigan from Transmoto Dirt Bike magazine in Australia with the sad news that cancer had taken Mr. Halls life. I've known John for probably 20 years and he was one of those true gentleman of our sport.

Dean Wilson, Christophe Pourcel and Tyla Rattray shine in USA

Dean Wilson led a parade of Kawasaki’s at Spring Creek Motocross Park in Millville, Minn. as the team took four of the top five spots in the 250 class. Wilson earned second overall with finishes of 6-2 in the motos, finishing just ahead of Tyla Rattray who went 4-4 for third overall.

Rockstar Energy Drink Australian Motocross Championship

The final round of the 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals just keeps getting bigger with the announcement from Series Director Kevin Williams that the round will become a massive double-header this weekend. Run over two days, the grand finale will now have a total of 150 points up for grabs meaning that fans get to see even more awesome racing as riders battle it out for Championship glory.

Dungey, Townley and Rattray in USA

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship has now entered the second half of the season after round 7 took place in Millville at the Spring Creek Motocross Park this weekend. Although Ben Townley expected more than his 4-5 result, the Luca Oil – Troy Lee Designs – Honda racer has now shot to 3rd in the points standings and is only 6 points adrift of second.
