EP Industries Limited join forces with British Grand Prix

Press release Saturday 19th April 2008 By RHL

RHL Activities Limited are pleased to announce a partnership with EP Industries Limited for this year's Motocross Grand Prix of Great Britain, which will take place at Mallory Park on 1st June. Based in Derby, EP Industries Limited has provided the all-important Hyundai heavy earth moving machinery necessary to construct the new, purpose built circuit at Mallory Park, which has so far required over 10,000 tonnes of soil...

EP Industries Limited is an official specialist supplier in the UK for Hyundai plant, and the partnership with RHL Activities for the Motocross Grand Prix of Great Britain complements Hyundai's involvement with all 16 rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship.

EP Industries has supplied RHL Activities with two Hyundai Excavators for the purpose of building the new circuit, which is currently taking shape under the direction of track designer Justin Barkley. One of these is a huge 21-tonne machine, which is being used to move the bulk of the earthworks and shape the layout of the circuit.

This is partnered with a 14-tonne machine that is creating the off-cambered bends and will provide the finishing touches to the track. EP Industries is located at an impressive facility at Pye Bridge, 15 miles north of Derby and is owned by Eddie Pilsworth.

The company is the Hyundai Construction Equipment dealer for many areas in the UK and is a specialist in the supply of new and re-conditioned engines, transmissions, hydraulic components and tyres for mining, quarrying and construction equipment.

EP Industries also offer an extensive service and repair facility to their large customer base, and are pleased to be involved with the Motocross Grand Prix of Great Britain project. More information on EP Industries Limited can be found on their website at www.epindustries.co.uk

Eddie Pilsworth: Managing Director, EP Industries Limited

"We are happy to support Hyundai Construction Europe, Mallory Park and RHL Activities in the building of this all-new circuit for the Motocross Grand Prix of Great Britain. Our machines are already on site and working and we're proud, although not surprised, to hear that the feedback from the operatives using them has been extremely positive. We're looking forward to entertaining our clients and prospects at what promises to be a very exciting event on 1st June."

Gareth Hockey: Director, RHL Activities Limited

"Building a world championship standard motocross track from scratch involves shifting a huge amount of earth. Originally we only had one machine on site, but the provision of these two Hyundai excavators by our new event partner, EP Industries, has now allowed us to accelerate our track-building programme, which is good news for everyone. The two Hyundai machines are being put to good use creating the huge jumps and off-camber turns that will characterise the new track at Mallory Park."
