Press release Thursday 05th June 2008 By Daniele Rizzi

Currently being the most exciting motocross series in the world, the FIM Motocross World Championship promoted by Youthstream benefits of a strong worldwide TV coverage live and delayed. Good news for the Austrian and the German audiences is that Motors TV, one of Youthstream’s major partners in broadcasting the series, has a solid base in both countries.

In Germany the channel can be watched via cable platforms KDG (Kabel Deutschland), KBW (Kabel-Baden Württemberg), Kabelkiosk, Unitymedia and Prima TV (Primacom). In Austria Motors TV is carried by Liwest.

After the sixth of fifteen Grand Prix’s took place on June 1 in Mallory Park (GP of Great Britain), the next round will be the Grand Prix of France in St. Jean d’Angely on June 15.

The German Grand Prix will be the eighth round of the season and it will get underway in Teutschenthal on June 29. Youthstream, the FIM Motocross World Championship promoter, and Clinica Mobile, the highly professional medical back-up squad for the competitors of the Motorcycle World Championships, have finally reached an agreement to improve the medical services in the MX1 and MX2 Grand Prix’s.

Mobile Clinic joins GP series.

Starting from the next Grand Prix in St. Jean d’Angely (France) on June 15, the Clinica Mobile will always send one of their talented doctors to the MX1 and MX2 events. The doctor will be available for the World Championship riders and will provide them with both on site assistance and further guidance after the riders have left the venue.

Giuseppe Luongo, President of Youthstream, said: “This is a very important step for the health of the riders because now we have a Doctor from the most experienced and well-known medical staff of the sport world. The riders not only will benefit from the advise on the race track but also in case of injury and/or necessary operation they will benefit from the right advice where to make the operation and how to recover. The experience of the Clinica Mobile in this field is impressive. I want to thank Doctor Costa and all his staff for their support and for their involvement in our sport.”

Dr. Wolfgang Srb, FIM/CMS President, stated: “Congratulations to Youthstream and Clinica Mobile that they have reached an agreement. I am very happy that the riders will benefit from this important service.” Dr. Claudio Marcello Costa, creator and head of Clinica Mobile, ended: “Youthstream and Clinica Mobile have reached an agreement and our doctor, who was already at the Motocross GP’s following the Italian riders for the Italian Motorcycling Federation, will now be at every rider’s disposal, offering them our experience, skills and cures. This is an act of great justice and great love towards all riders whom I consider as heroes.”
