Teka Suzuki WMX1’s Ken de Dycker was second overall marking his podium comeback after a two GP absence while Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Max Nagl rounded off the rostrum in his second consecutive appearance.
Marc de Reuver of Martin Honda came back from a left foot injury to take pole and the first moto win –his and Honda’s first season victory- in Lommel. Though a mistake in the final heat denied the Dutchman his second season’s GP win after Mantova.
At the end of the weekend big news was that Teka Suzuki WMX1’s Steve Ramon took the red plate from previous leader David Philippaerts who was leading the series since Portugal.

A surprising Favor KTM Motorsport’s Gert Krestinov took his first ever GP victory at Lommel where he won his maiden Lovemytime Qualifying Award on the Saturday, the day of his 18th birthday (August 2).
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tyla Rattray was the winner of the other Lovemytime Qualifying Award, reaching team mate Tommy Searle in the standings with six wins as injured Tony Cairoli still leads with eight.
Rattray and Krestinov won one moto each on Sunday as the South African retained the red plate even without mounting on the podium. Rattray put an end to an eight podium row while Searle took his seventh season’s podium with third. Other Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s rider Rui Goncalves, clocking the lap record during the race, was second overall for the very first time in his career as he stepped on his first season podium.
