Teka becomes main sponsor of World Motocross Championship

FAENZA (ITALY), 26 March 2009 – Youthstream, rights holder of the FIM Motocross World Championship, is proud to announce the new partnership with Teka Group, a worldwide manufacturer working with stainless steel and consisting of various business divisions and different brands in this field.

At the start of the 2009 FIM Motocross World Championship Youthstream can count on a solid and successful partner such as Teka whose support will bring new life to the series.

Teka is no new to World Motocross where the company entered in 2008 by sponsoring the MX1 Factory Suzuki Team which took great results with a second and a third place in the World Standings (Steve Ramon and Ken De Dycker respectively).

The positive outcome of its involvement in the Championship brought Teka closer to the core of the organization. Teka and Youthstream have now signed a deal which sees the German manufacturer become a main sponsor of the World Motocross Championship.

Teka will be in the position to exploit fully the marketing and branding opportunities related to the series such as the presence in 14 countries and two continents through 15 events, a worldwide television coverage (live and delayed) with more than one billion spectators per year, a fixed presence on the worldwide press, a fans’ following loyal to the Championship’s brands.

Teka Group is founded in the country of technology, Germany, more than 85 years ago now. Teka is an industrial Group with various business divisions, employing more than 5.600 people worldwide. Its annual turnover amounts to over 1,2 billion/€.

The Teka Group consists of 96 companies in 37 countries and 34 production facilities in 17 countries. The Teka Group business areas range from domestic and professional equipment for kitchens and bathrooms about stainless steel storage containers for pharmaceutical and food industry, beverage containers to electronics.
