Mike Brown leads WORCS in USA

Shock Doctor/KTM Factory WORCS racer Mike Brown regained the championship points lead after earning 3rd overall at the 5th round of the series. Brown had a great start rounding the first turn in 2nd place. By the 3rd turn he had moved into 1st place. For three laps he battled back and forth for the lead before he made a mistake that cost him two positions.

Meanwhile, his teammate Justin Soul??, who had started within the top five had dropped back to 10th.

"I was riding really tight the first half of the race and I lost a bunch of positions. I calmed down in the second half and really improved my pace and moved back into the top five," commented Soul.

With three laps to go, Brown was still sitting in 3rd place. He was close to the top two until he made two mistakes that both resulted in a crash on the second to last lap. He held his position and finished a strong 3rd overall while his teammate put on a last minute charge to finish just 10 seconds behind him in 4th.

Nagl and Roczen to touch base this weekend at German GP

The FIM Motocross World Championship continues after a week break and round nine of 15 will be at Teutschenthal, Germany, this weekend. Home rider Max Nagl is confident as he enters Teutschenthal after a dominant win at Ernee, where he took both heats and managed to place himself into third in the MX1 Championship.

Swanepoel talks about victory - British Championship

Kawasaki factory rider Gareth Swanepoel dominated the latest round of the British MX1 Championship, going 1-1 in front of series leader Anderson and defending champion Billy Mackenzie. Mackenzie picks up podium at Hawkstone Park

De Dycker wins in Kester - Belgium Championship

Ken De Dycker (Teka-Suzuki) took his second overall victory in the 2009 Belgian Motocross championship today. In changing weather conditions and in front of 5.000 spectators De Dycker scored two heat wins, and a second behind Clément Desalle (LS Motors-Honda) . Josh Coppins (Monster Energy-Yamaha) was third on the podium.

Grand Prix of France - More rider comments

Desalle and Musquin win on Saturday in France

A big French crowd already showed up to watch the opening day of the French GP starting with home rider Marvin Musquin’s win in the MX2 qualifying. The result was followed by Belgian Desalle’s maiden qualifying win in the MX1 class with Nagl and Philippaerts rounding up the top three. Cairoli ended seventh ahead of home hero Pichon.

"Rally Dakar" - KTM withdraws!

The limiting of motorcycles with a displacement of 450 cc forces the long term dominator of the Dakar Rally to withdraw. Following the announcement at a press conference on June 4, 2009 of the French "ASO" - the organisers of the "South American Dakar" that from 2010, only motorcycles with a maximum displacement of 450 cc will be permitted to compete.
