Evgeny Bobryshev signs with Yamaha Van Beers racing

The Yamaha Van Beers GP Motocross racing team has confirmed Evgeny Bobryshev as MX2 rider for the 2008 MX season. The talented Russian teenager from Kaluga, has inked a two year deal with the Dutch based team after an impressive ride at the European MX of Nations where Bobryshev beat factory riders , Maxi Nagl, Manuel Priem and Marcus Schiffer in the final Moto of the teams event.

‘Evgeny is a hard worker and I see great potential for him in the years to come.” stated team owner and manager Adri Van Beers. “He is very focused and we are glad that he will be part of the Yamaha Van Beers family for 2008 and 2009. I have seen him ride in the sand and his recent result at the European of Nations event really impressed me.”

Bobryshev was excited about having inked with the Yamaha Van Beers team.

“I started my racing career on a Yamaha and I am really happy to have a place at Van Beers racing. I rode their YZ250F at the last Dutch championship and I am really pleased with the power and suspension. I can learn a lot from the team and the riders so I look forward to my first full year of GP racing.”

Bobryshev will complete the three man team which will include Estonian and former MX2 Dutch champ, Aigar Leok (MX1) as well as Latvian rider Lauris Freibergs (MX1). The nineteen -year-old will participate in all MX2 GP’s and Dutch championships as well as selected Russian championship events when possible.
