Rough Diamond - Robbie Maddison

Video Wednesday 16th September 2009 By Geoff Meyer

Robbie Maddison started his career with national motocross competitions. On New Year's Eve 2007, the 40th anniversary day of Evel Knievel`s legendary jump over the Caesar's Palace fountain, the Australian broke the world record in bike long jump flying 98.34 metres with his bike.

In 2008, he extended his world record to 115 metres. The 27-year-old also wrote history with a jump on the 30-metre L'Arc de Triomphe in Las Vegas. Though Maddison follows Evel Knievel's footsteps, he is a FMX rider with an own style who knows how to perfectly execute all freestyle tricks.
