There is one man in charge of the 2024 MX2 World championship and that is young Dutchman Kay De Wolf. With 2-2-1-1-1-2 results from the opening six motos in Argentina and Spain, the Nestaan Husqvarna factory rider has been near perfect.

Everyone in the sport knows that De Wolf has talent, and not just a little talent. At just 19 years of age, the technically beautiful rider will head into the Sardinia round of the 2024 title hunt with huge confidence and going to a circuit that has seen him finish with 4-4 in 2021, and 1-2 in 2023 (he missed the GP there in 2022 due to injuries). Sounds ominous for his competition doesn't it. 

Already with three GP wins in his career, you get the feeling the red-head will be putting more pain on his rivals this coming weekend and extend his championship points lead. With a smoother head and seemingly better concentration, anything is possible for this talented teenager. Some credit to his team, led by Rasmus Jorgensen and with big support from Ruben Tureluren, who helped Jeffrey Herlings to a handful of World titles.
