Keep Motocross Alive In 2020

Posted on March 24, 2020

There is no doubt, not only are we going through tough times with thousands of deaths from the coronavirus, and that is the most important thing to focus on, but live as we knew it is over at the moment.

You stay home, you make sure this virus slows and even stops. You continue to go out, meet friends, or whatever, you help this virus spread and eventually, more people die, and more people will lose their jobs. So, people, it is up to you. If you have to leave the house, make sure you are alone, or with people from your home, and keep your distance from others.

I don’t say don’t continue to enjoy your life, because there are enough things to still enjoy life while you have your health, be that a ride on your motorcycle, but at a safe speed and not putting yourself in danger of injury and thus a trip to the hospital, but I can’t see why riding your bike is a bad thing, as long as the law allows it in your country and keep your distance from others.

What I also think is important is that we continue to be busy promoting the sport, be that interviews with riders, team owners, promoters or whatever, giving the motocross public something to read, to keep them entertained. We have already spoken to many people inside the industry to get their opinion, or how their lives at the moment and we will be doing more. Those interviews will come over the next two weeks.

If you are a member of the Grand Prix paddock, and feel you want some exposure, please contact me, Geoff Meyer at [email protected]. Be that team owners, riders, mechanics, anyone. Exposure for the sport at the moment is critical to keep us in the public eye and what better way than talk about your personal lifestyle or career. I am open to listen to anyone’s story and get some nice exposure for you as a rider, or industry insider.
