With an excellent performance, courage and determination, Simon Langenfelder (Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing team – GASGAS MC 250F) wins the 2024 Internazionali d'Italia MX2.

After the stubborn performance in Sardinia, with the second position on the podium, Simon Langenfelder in the second and final round of the Internazionali d'Italia, on the Mantua track, with a fourth place of the day, manages to win the 2024 Internazionali d'Italia MX2 Championship .

Simon faced the Mantua circuit at his best from the first round, made treacherous by a muddy surface, scoring pole in his timed qualifying session. In the two heats Simon demonstrates all his determination by overcoming difficult moments as best he can: in race one he doesn't start very well and in his comeback in the first lap he crashes which forces him to make a difficult comeback from the rear, but on the first lap he is already seventeenth, and during the heat he managed to climb up to sixth position.

Even in race two he was forced to come back, this time following a contact at the start, at the first corner, and by setting record laps he managed to collect a positive fourth place at the end of the heat which earned him fourth place overall of the day (for just two points off the podium), but above all the eighteen points which, added to the fifteen from race one, take him to the top of the final championship standings! Laengenfelder wins the Internazionali d'Italia, MX2 category: yet another success to celebrate for the team led by Davide De Carli!

Simon Laengenfelder: "It was a difficult weekend, with bad starts and crashes... but my speed was very good. I set excellent times from the first round and then in the comeback heats, and this makes me confident for the start of the world championship season. I am very happy for the victory of this prestigious championship, I thank my team!"
