60 Years and A day - MXoN

For any GP fan, it was maybe the worst day in MXoN history. The day, when Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto and Tim Ferry made the GP boys look second class.

Only a year earlier, while Team USA had won at Matterley Basin, it was Stefan Everts and Antonio Cairoli who showed the American riders, that the euros meant business, but what went down at Budds Creek in 2007, was a massacre of the highest order.

For me, the owner of MXlarge, it was the most painful weekend of my working career and the screaming of USA, USA, USA, just wanted me to get out of there as quickly as possible. Here is the story here.

For the sport, it will always be remembered for the might of Team USA and the damage they could do to the Europeans. We might never see anything like it again and for that, I am very thankful.
