Red Bull KTM Factory rider Andrea Adamo rode a brilliant opening MX2 moto to win from Kay De Wolf and Liam Everts. A sensational race as the two front men took it right down to the wire.

Andrea Adamo: It was a big win. My moto was easy really, because I was leading and had a big gap, but then, I don't know what happened with those guys, but they really come and I was surprised and not ready. Super happy with this moto win. Let go for the second one.

World championship points are now Kay de Wolf 272 points, Simon Laengenfelder 236pts, Thibault Benistant 211pts, Liam Everts 208pts, and Lucas Coenen 198pts.

MX2 Moto One

It was Benistant in front at the start of the opening MX2 moto, with Sasha Coenen, Adamo, Langenfelder, Everts, De Wolf, Elzinga, Zanchi, Lucas Coenen, Oliver and Osterhagen in 10th. Haarup 12th, Chambers in 20th place.

Adamo moved into second and de Wolf passed Everts, Lucas Coenen passing Zanchi and Elzinga for seventh. Adamo into the lead as the defending World champion really started to hit form. On lap one it was Adamo, Benistant, Sasha Coenen, de Wolf, Everts, Lucas Coenen, Elzinga, Langenfelder, Haarup and Zanchi 10th.

Lap four and it was Adamo with a 2.6 second lead over Benistant, then Sasha Coenen close behind in third, and De Wolf and Everts not far off the pace of Coenen. Lucas Coenen was sixth, then Elzinga, Langenfelder, Haarup and Zanchi 10th.

Lap seven and the lead was 4.6 seconds as Adam controlled the race. Benistant was second, with Sasha Coenen, De Wolf, Everts and Lucas Coenen all pretty close together, then Elzinga, Langenfelder, Haarup and Zanchi.

De Wolf moved into third, with Langenfelder moving into seventh, and Haarup also passing Elzinga and on lap nine it was Adamo, Benistant, de Wolf, Sasha Coenen, Everts, Lucas Coenen, Langenfelder, Haarup, Elzinga and Zanchi. Everts and Lucas Coenen all over the back wheel of Sasha Coenen. Everts into fourth as he passed Sasha Coenen.

Coenen brothers in a nice fight for fifth place, and Adamo getting further away from Benistant as De Wolf closes up on the GasGas rider, just two seconds between those two. Lucas Coenen passed brother Sasha and on lap 12 it was Adamo, Benistant, de Wolf, Everts, Lucas Coenen, Sasha Coenen, Langenfelder, Haarup, Elzinga, and Rossi 10th.

Haarup moved past Langenfelder for seventh and de Wolf all over Benistant for second place, with Everts also catching those two. With Benistant and de Wolf battling hard, they close up a little on the leader, Adamo. Awesome battle between Benistant and de Wolf, and Lucas Coenen closing down Everts for fourth place. So much talent in this class.

The lead by Adamo was suddenly just 3.7 seconds and we might have a three way battle soon. Everts 8.7 seconds off the leader and Coenen 8.8. so those two locked together, just as Benistant and De Wolf are. These MX2 boys have some serious talent and their technical skills are probably better than ever in the MX2 class.

Benistant huge crash as he dropped to fifth place and on lap 16 it was Adamo with a 2.6 second lead over De Wolf, then Everts, Lucas Coenen, Benistant, Sasha Coenen, Langenfelder, Elzinga, Haarup, and Rossi 10th.

Adamo hanging on for dear life as De Wolf is all over his back wheel, with Everts seven seconds back in third, then Lucas Coenen, and Benistant. Adamo blocking all the passing by de Wolf, and ridiculous speed from these two. Adamo block passing and trying everything to keep the lead. Sensational racing. Adamo wins from De Wolf and Everts.
