Former MXGP racer, Max Anstie has decided to race the full 2026 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship after the cancelation of the 2026 world supercross championship.

The MXRP team have decided to call the British rider in and no doubt, Anstie will be the favourite to win the Aussie title this year. Anstie will be onboard the 2027 YZ250F, topping SX2 qualifying before recording a DNF in the opening final. He rebounded to claim victory in final two.

“Max Anstie is officially locked in to race the full Australian Supercross Championship with MXGP!” the team announced through social media on Thursday evening.

Many supercross specialists will be struggling now to fill their winter season and fortunately for Anstie, he has quickly found a home in Australia. Anstie of course is the current world 250 supercross champion and a former MXoN and GP winner.

With WSX now cancelled and seemingly not coming back, Anstie has also mentioned of racing a 450 machine in the AMA racing season in 2027 and also race the MXoN for Team Great Britain, at the famous Assen circuit in The Netherlands.
