Max Anstie has taken the top spot in qualification with the quickest time in the 250 class. The British rider has shown amazing speed.

Max Anstie: We came off free practice, and the sun was behind the clouds, but its right in our eyes now. It is slippery and the whoops are tough. The whoops are really tricky and its great and that is what its all about. The sun was low and difficult, we couldn't see in our session. The first rythem I wasn't sure what to do, and there is time to be made up. It is about racing and not just one lap. I want to get the red plates on this bike and hopefully a number one at the end of the series. You cannot count anyone out and you cannot go in thinking I have this. You have the peice the track together, its a different format, the races are shorter. Everyone out there is fast.
