Matt Bates stepped away from the all-star cast for this years Arenacross opener in Birmingham and it didn't seem to matter as the spectators turned out and the action was exciting.

While Dean Wilson won, it was a lot of the lesser known riders who got some glory and its clear, indoor racing isn't so much about the names, but the event and Matt Bates never lets you down when it comes to putting on a show.
