Arnhem GP - Track Changes
The Dutch Grand Prix in Arnhem is getting closer. Before you know it, it will be August 23 and 24, and the world’s best riders will head to the Gelderland circuit at MotorsportPark Gelderland Midden. The organizers have been working for months to implement improvements based on the previous two editions.
The biggest change is that the start line has been moved further forward, while the first turn has been pushed back. To make this possible, the club had to relocate the pedestrian bridge—a major task, but successfully completed. Staying with the start area, we can also report that riders will now pass here every lap, which was not the case in the past two editions.
The VIP tent will be in a new location this year. The advantage of this spot is that VIP guests will have a much better view of the riders in action. In addition, VIP access will be easier: after parking their car, guests can enter straight into the VIP area.
One of the two grandstands has been moved to a new position, giving spectators an even better view of the track. The grandstand overlooking the spectacular wave section has also been enlarged, so even more people can enjoy the action from there.
These changes to the venue mean there will be much more space for the public to follow the Grand Prix in comfort. In all classes, we have Dutch riders who can compete for victories and podium finishes. All the more reason to come to Arnhem on the weekend of August 23 and 24 and cheer them on—helping make this major event another great success.
