About AUSX Open

The Boost Mobile AUSX Open is the biggest Supercross event in the world outside the USA — a full-throttle stadium showdown where the world’s best riders go bar-to-bar with Australia’s fiercest Supercross stars. Current SMX World Champion and runner-up, Jett and Hunter Lawrence headline the event. Both current dominate racing in the USA for the Factory Honda HRC team.

The AUSX Open, doubles as Round 4 of the Boost Mobile Australian Supercross Championship, which is the second most prestigious in the world. It features the premier SX1 (450cc) class, SX2 (250cc), plus SX3, KTM SX85cc class and the Yamaha 65cc Cup support racers, aged just 9-12 years old.

Held inside Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, the event blends world-class racing with fireworks, freestyle motocross stunts, live music and a fan experience unlike anything else in Australian sport.

In 2024, over 42,000 fans witnessed the high-stakes action firsthand. Now in its 10th year, the 2025 AUSX Open returns bigger, louder, and more unpredictable than ever.

With 6,500 tonnes of dirt trucked in to build Australia’s most technical Supercross track, fans will see elite international athletes battle it out against homegrown legends — all under lights, inside one of the country’s most iconic venues.

Supercross is one of the most thrilling forms of motorsport on the planet. Riders push 120kg, 65hp dirt bikes to the limit — launching 30 metres, flying 10 metres high, with 20 riders chasing fame and prestige as AUSX Open Champion.
