Aussie MX - This Weekend

Posted on April 06, 2021

The opening round of the Australian motocross championship will begin this weekend and while most of the attention will be focused on USA and the AMA supercross championship, spare a thought for the Aussies, who missed their championship in 2020 due to Covid and have a new promoter and some exciting changes in 2021.

Known now as the ProMX championship, a great field of veterans and young guns go head to head in the old school circuit of Wonthaggi in Victoria and no doubt there will be some amazing action. The day will be shown live in Aussie television, so who knows maybe we can find a pirate channel for our European viewers?

Former GP podium man Todd Waters defends his title against a bunch of World class Aussies with former MxoN podium man Matt Moss back from a four year ban and in amazing form. Not to mention former AMA racer Luke Clout, MXoN surprise in 2019 Regan Duffy, another two former GP racers in Kyle Webster and Jay Wilson.
