Aussie SX - This Weekend
The 2025 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship presented by Monster Energy has officially roared into life, as riders, team owners, and media gathered at Kayo Stadium, Moreton Bay today for AUSX Press Day, setting the stage for this weekend’s season opener.
With the track prepped and the stadium buzzing, SX1 heavyweights Dean Wilson, Phil Nicoletti, Cedric Soubeyras, Luke Clout, Aaron Tanti, Dylan Wills, and Dylan Walsh hit the dirt for the first time — giving media a glimpse of the speed, intensity, and precision fans can expect under lights tomorrow night.
Wilson and Clout made their intentions clear — they’re here to win. Meanwhile, Frenchman Cedric Soubeyras expressed pride in becoming the first French rider to line up in the AUSX Championship, calling it “a dream to race Supercross on the other side of the world.”
SMX Next protégée Ryder Malinoski and the rest of the class will go head-to-head with SX2 reigning champion Shane McElrath, who is looking to defend his coveted #1 plate at the Moreton Bay Double Header.
Adding to the occasion, City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery officially welcomed riders to the region, praising the event’s impact on local tourism and community engagement.
“It’s incredible to see world-class Supercross return to Moreton Bay. The atmosphere, the fans, and the global spotlight on our region make this an event we’re proud to host,” said Mayor Flannery.
The Team Owner Press Conference followed — where industry leaders Craig Dack, Yarrive Konsky, Kyle Blunden, and Brad McAlpine discussed the rising professional standards of the series, its expanding global reach, and their shared drive to build championship-winning teams.
AUSX Ambassador Justin Brayton, returning in a special commentary role, highlighted the championship’s continued growth and depth of competition.
“You can feel the energy this year — the teams have stepped it up, the riders are hungry, and the track looks incredible. It’s going to be an awesome season,” Brayton said.
As crews put the final touches on the Moreton Bay Double Header, excitement is building fast. With two nights of racing, fan activations, and an all-star lineup of riders, the 2025 AUSX season opener promises to deliver non-stop action both on and off the track.
