Aussies Go USA - SX

Pretty cool news coming from Australian website Motoonline.com.au as the Australian Honda team Penrite Honda Racing plan to contest rounds of the AMA supercross championship (full articel here). Leading the way for Penrite Honda will be former AMA supercross and motocross competitor, Brett Metcalfe, with another rider expected to be named soon.

“It’s in the extremely early stages of development, but we have committed to do at least the first three to four rounds of next year with an Australian rider for 2020 prior to the commencement of the MX Nationals,” Konsky told MotoOnline.com.au. “We are also investigating the possibility of doing the full season, either next year or in 2021.”

As always great to see international teams line up in either the AMA events of the FIM events. A big plus for either series. One wonders if the young Kyle Webster could be signed up for the Penrite team, and contest these supercross events. At 17 he has supercross experience and has shown at the MXoN that he isn't bothered by the occasion.
