The Museu Olímpic i de l 'Esport “Joan Antoni Samaranch” in Barcelona has hosted the presentation of the 21st edition of the International Supercross and Freestyle of Barcelona. The event, which will take place on Saturday, November 23, promises 3 hours of vibrant spectacle where battles in supercross races and freestyle infarction breaks will leave the audience speechless. The sports council of the city of Barcelona, David Escudé , stressed the importance of this event: "we have a spectacular sports show format and is fortunate to have an event of this level in Barcelona".

Jordi Castells , director of the Supercross & Freestyle of Barcelona, recalled the level of the participants in the Supercross: “We have always tried to make the best supercross riders in the world come to Barcelona. This year the level is very high as it is a scoring race for the SX Tour and the fights will be the order of the day on a track like the one in Barcelona. This will result in even more spectacle. ”

The world's leading supercross specialists, American pilots Justin Bogle, Benny Bloss and Tyler Bowers, will head the list . Very motivated to win in Barcelona, Bogle , top-10 AMA in both supercross and motocross, part as the big favorite, although the battle will be served with some of the best European riders. The current leader of the SX Tour general and triple European supercross champion Cédric Soubeyras (Huqsvarna) , will not make things easy for him, nor will his compatriot Greg Aranda (Kawasaki) , this year's winner of the British Arenacross in 450cc and of a SX Tour race.

The best Spanish drivers could not miss the great indoor event of the year. Joan Cros , current Spanish Supercross champion and national benchmark driver who has competed in the American championships AMA of SX 450 West Coast and AMA SX 250 this season, and Ander Valentín , champion of Spain of Motocross MX1 Elite 2019, will be The big local names. Cros, present at the event, does not rule out the podium: “My goal is to go out first and win the race. Who said I can't win Justin Bogle?

In freestyle the level cannot be higher. Tom Pagès , the world number 1, will offer a trick never seen in Barcelona, the “Front Flip” or somersault with forward rotation, a jump that will also be presented by the German Luc Ackermann , already new and brand new FIM world freestyle champion 2019. How could it be otherwise, the local hero, Edgar Torronteras, will return to Sant Jordi to offer his best flow in each of his jumps.

The competitions will be developed as follows. The SX1 category will play two semifinals, which will qualify directly to the first 7 of each for the two independent finals. The remaining 4 finalists will come out of a repesca sleeve.

The Kawasaki Team Green Cup and SX125 2-stroke categories will directly play two finals that will score points independently.

The “face to face” competition   that he liked so much last year will be held again. The 8 fastest drivers in official training will face each other in direct one-on-one qualifiers, with rounds of quarterfinals, semifinals and the grand final.

Juan Porcar , CEO of RPM-MKTG wanted to remember the link of the organizing company RPM-MKTG, with the city of Barcelona, “the link of RPM-MKTG with Barcelona is very special. For 42 years we have not stopped organizing events in the city and our will continue to do so for another 40 years. ”
