Benistant controlled the lead with a 2.6 second lead on lap five and Vialle and Coenen were 4.1 and 5.6 back. Seewer losing ground quickly and Jonass closing on him. Renaux started catching the leader and gapping Vialle in third place, with the top four a little spread out.

Lap eight and Renaux was all over the back wheel of Benistant, with Vialle also catching and 1.5 seconds back, while Coenen was 2.3 back and making his way to the front. While the three Frenchmen fought for the front spot, Valin had made his way into ninth place, just behind Vlaanderen and ahead of Garcia.

Benistant took control opening up the lead to 2.2 seconds over Vialle and Coenen was now third, with Renaux making a mistake and dropping to fourth and nine seconds off the leaders pace. Time running out but the two Honda men at the front, Benistant and Vialle were going for the race win, with Coenen 1.7 back in third place. Benistant wins it from Vialle and Coenen.
