Take a look at this cool footage of the 250 Motocross GP of Great Britain back in 1965 at the now famous Glastonbury festival facility. Of course, with the British GP starting the 2022 MXGP and MX2 championships being run at the Matterley Basin circuit, which in every way is our Glastonbury festival of motocross. 

Unfortunatley no audio, but the footage is just gold for anyone who respects and loves our heritage. What I love about this video is the fact you could nearly think it was actually the Matterley Basin bowl, just 56 years ago. 

As was often the case back in the 250 class in this era, it was Dave Bickers who took the victory. How we would love a Dave Bickers type performance from a British rider in this years MXGP opener. Also the 1964 British GP where Bickers battles the new man on the scene, Joel Robert. You just have to love our history.
