KTM factory rider, Sasha Coenen has put together a moto victory, and it came at the right time, with series leader, Guillem Farres struggling a little after his crash in qualification yesterday. The Belgian rider took the lead in the first corner and just rode a very smart race and closed the points gap to Farres going into the second moto today.

Farres finished sixth and 15 points and is now 31 points ahead of Coenen in the championship points, Guillem Farres 683 points, Sacha Coenen 652pts, Camden Mc Lellan 636pts, Simon Längenfelder 624pts, Liam Everts 573pts.

Sasha Coenen: I don't know, it a good feeling to come back from the injury and get the win. I am really happy and looking forward to the third moto.

MX2 Moto One

Coenen led the opening MX2 moto, from Everts, Janis Reisulis, McLellan, Karssemakers, Langenfelder, Gundersen, Farres, Korsbeck and Grau 10th. Farres a nice start from a poor gate pick, due to his DNF yesterday.

Lap one the lead by Coenen was more than two seconds over Everts, who was three seconds ahead of Reisulis in third. Farres all over Langenfelder for sixth place. Farres another crash as he dropped back in the field and was back in 10th place, then quickly back into ninth.

Everts all over Coenen for the lead, with half a second separating those guys, and Reisulis in third 4.4 back. Farres 14 seconds off the lead, but still in ninth spot. Coenen again got away from Everts with the gap 1.6 seconds, and Farres into eight place and 19 seconds off Coenen.

Lap five and it was Coenen and Everts in close combat, with Reisulis just 2.4 back and McLellan 4.3 back. Farres struggling to get higher than eight place at this point of the race. Not a lot happening as positions remained the same.

Top ten on lap eight was Coenen, Everts, Reisulis, McLellan, Karssemakers, Langenfelder, Grau, Farres, Mikula and Karlis Reisulis. Farres into seventh and looking to pass Karssemakers for sixth place. Four-way fight for the lead as Coenen seems to be holding up Everts and that allowed Janis Reisulis and McLellan into the fight.

Farres moved into sixth place with a pass on Karssemakers and four seconds behind Langenfelder, who held fifth position. Four minutes to go and it seems Coenen has this one in the pocket, with a two second lead over Everts. Coenen wins from Everts and McLellan.
