Ducati MX2 - 2026
After presenting its new team for the 2026 MXGP World Championship at EICMA, Ducati Corse Off-Road is now pleased to announce its participation next year in the MX2 World Championship and the European EMX250 Championship with the Ducati Desmo250 MX, which was raced this year in the Italian championship by Team Beddini Racing with Alessandro Lupino.
The Italian team, founded in 2019 from the off-road passion of successful Umbrian entrepreneur Dario Beddini, will once again take to the track in both championships with the new Ducati. Team Beddini has a short but highly successful racing history, boasting no fewer than four Italian motocross titles. Run with passion by team manager and former rider Joakin Furbetta, the Beddini Racing - Ducati Factory MX2 Team will debut the Desmo250 MX machines in the two FIM Championships, entrusted to two young Italian talents, Ferruccio Zanchi (MX2) and Simone Mancini (EMX250).
Ferruccio Zanchi was born in Florence on 6 September 2006. After three seasons in EMX125 and one season (in 2023) in EMX250, Zanchi competed in the full MX2 World Championship in 2024, and this year he claimed his first podium finish with third place in the Grand Prix of Castilla-La Mancha.
The latest addition to the Ducati off-road family will also compete in the European EMX250 Championship
Simone Mancini was born in San Severino Marche (MC) on 8 August 2007. He was runner-up in the 125cc World Championship in 2024, took the bronze medal in the European EMX125 Championship that same season, and is a four-time Italian Motocross Champion. Mancini will line up in the European EMX250 Championship for the second year.
Paolo Ciabatti, General Manager of Ducati Corse Off-Road: “We are very satisfied with the excellent work done this year together with Team Beddini and Alessandro Lupino in the Italian MX2 Championship: our main goal was to develop the new Desmo250 MX in competition, but achieving second place overall fills us with satisfaction. Now we are about to tackle an even more ambitious challenge, and we are pleased to be able to count on the support and professionalism of the team led by Dario and Joakin, both in the MX2 World Championship and the European EMX250 Championship. We are confident that Ferruccio and Simone will be able to get the best out of the characteristics of our new bike, which will soon be available to all enthusiasts through the network of selected Ducati dealerships.”
Dario Beddini, Team Owner: “It is with great pride that we are preparing to represent Ducati in the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship. The path we began last season allowed us to grow and gradually enter the Ducati world, learning to work with people of extraordinary expertise, who brought the Desmo250 MX project to life, and finishing the Italian Pro Prestige Motocross Championship in second place with Alessandro Lupino. Now the challenge becomes even more demanding and exciting: to debut the bike in the MX2 World Championship and the European EMX250, contributing to the growth of two young talents like Ferruccio and Simone, and beginning a path that we hope will take them to MXGP with Ducati. Taking part in the development of the Desmo250 MX, which will soon be available to all enthusiasts, is a great responsibility and I am grateful to Ducati Corse Off-Road and Paolo Ciabatti for this opportunity. I am sure that through everyone's work we will be able to achieve great goals: if we have come this far, it is above all thanks to my team and their tremendous commitment.”
