FIM and Anti-Doping
During the FIM Superbike World Championship round in Cremona, Italy from 2nd to 5th May – which also incorporated a round of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship a total of forty-nine riders were tested over two separate sessions. No positive tests were recorded.
Then during the FIM Women’s Speedway Academy on 11th July and the FIM Flat Track World Championship event on 12th July - both held at Donji Kraljevec, Croatia - a total of forty-one riders were tested over the two days. As a strategy measure, education aims to empower athletes and others to play clean, and to encourage behaviours in line with the principles and values of clean sport.
Reinforcing this commitment, the FIM Academy in collaboration with the International Testing Agency (ITA) is pleased to announce details of the forthcoming webinar series that will take place online from late September through to early October this year, as part of the ITA-ARISF clean sport education initiative. These interactive one-hour sessions for athletes and Athlete Support Personnel have been designed to cover key anti-doping topics, and anti-doping rights and responsibilities.
These interactive one-hour sessions have been designed for athletes, coaches, medical personnel, parents, administrators, and other Athlete Support Personnel. They will cover key anti-doping topics, including anti-doping rights and responsibilities, providing access not only to essential clean sport education information and practical tips, but also offering the opportunity to ask anti-doping experts your questions.
