Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia delivered a flawless performance at round four of the 2025 FIM EnduroGP World Championship, securing victory in the EnduroGP and Enduro1 categories on both days in Wales. After topping Friday night’s Akrapovič Super Test, the KTM 250 EXC-F rider carried his momentum into the weekend to dominate across two demanding days of racing in Rhayader.

Hot and dry weather made for uncharacteristically dusty conditions in Rhayader, with the fast-paced tests demanding maximum focus from riders across day one. Garcia set the pace early and never looked back – clocking the fastest time in five on the nine tests and building a lead that couldn’t be matched by his rivals.

In the overall EnduroGP class, Garcia completed the day over 20 seconds ahead of second-placed Zach Pichon. In the Enduro1 category, the Spaniard extended his dominance, beating Mikael Persson by nearly a full minute.

Despite overnight rain, Sunday’s tests remained mostly dry, with only a few areas posing a greater challenge. Taking the conditions and the pressure from his rivals in his stride, Garcia delivered another textbook display of riding to top both the overall EnduroGP and Enduro1 classes once again to complete his perfect weekend.

Securing victory by over 30 seconds on Sunday, and with it, the maximum 40 championship points over the course of the weekend, Josep now leads the EnduroGP class by 24 points, and Enduro1 by 36 with three rounds of the 2025 series remaining.

Next up for Garcia and Red Bull KTM is the 2025 6DAYS® FIM Enduro of Nations, held in Italy on August 24-29. That is quickly followed by the FIM EnduroGP of Portugal on September 12-14.

Josep Garcia: “I’m really pleased with how my weekend has gone here in Wales – to take the win on both days at this point in the championship is really important. Saturday was really good for me – I felt good on the bike straight away and was able to maintain a good advantage from the front. With some rain early on Sunday, I thought the tests would be a lot wetter, and so I put a much softer mousse in the rear, but things soon dried out and I had to swap back to a harder one. Once I swapped back, I was able to push a lot harder. After a good battle with Zach (Pichon), I took the win. I feel really good right now, the bike is working perfectly, and I’m looking forward to the Six Days at the end of the month.”

Back on the box – twice! It was a gritty weekend in the Welsh hills for GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona, who battled through the tough conditions in Rhayader to secure a pair of Enduro2 podiums at round four of the 2025 FIM EnduroGP World Championship. After placing second in E2 and third overall on Saturday, Andrea kept the fight alive on Sunday to grab third in E2 and maintain his unbroken class podium record of over five years!

The action kicked off strong in Wales for Verona as he clocked the third-quickest time on Friday night’s Akrapovič Super Test. When racing got serious on Saturday, the Italian was on the gas right from the start, showing great speed on his EC 450F to grab P2 in Enduro2 and an awesome third overall in EnduroGP – missing out on the runner-up spot by less than six seconds.

Sunday didn’t quite go to plan for the Italian, however. A boggy section midway through the second cross test caught Andrea out early in the day and cost him almost one minute against his rivals. But true to form, he regrouped, pinned it, and fought his way back up the order to claim P3 in Enduro2 and sixth overall. Not the result he was hoping for, but still plenty of positives to take from a weekend that tested everyone.

Verona now sits second in Enduro2 and third in EnduroGP as the 2025 series gears up for round five in Portugal this September 12-14. Ahead of that, Andrea will take on the iconic 6DAYS® FIM Enduro of Nations, held in Bergamo, Italy, from August 24-29

Andrea Verona: “It’s been a mixed weekend for me in Wales. It started off well on Friday, where I got third in the Super Test, and then on Saturday I had good pace, but made a few too many mistakes, which cost me some time. On Sunday, I put in a really strong first lap, but then on the second cross test, I made a bad line choice and got stuck in a really muddy section. That put me about one minute down on the others, so all I could do was try and fight my way back. I was able to finish third in E2 and sixth overall, which isn’t too bad, but definitely not the result I was hoping for. It’s time now to focus on the Six Days at home in Italy, and after that it’s back to the world championship and finishing the series strong.”
