The 2026 season of Internazionali d’Italia Motocross kicks off in Sardinia, where the Beta MRT Racing team has been present since the first week of January for pre-season testing. On Sunday, February 1, the prestigious "Crossodromo del Lazzaretto" in Alghero will host the first round Internazionali d’Italia Motocross, the event that officially opens the season.

The Beta MRT Racing Team will line up at the starting gate with new riders: in the MX1 category, Jago Geerts will defend the team's colors, making his competitive debut on the Beta. In MX2, meanwhile, young riders Alexis Fueri and Brando Rispoli are ready to shine on the Sardinian track.

Unfortunately, Rick Elzinga will not be able to line up at the starting gate. The Dutch rider suffered an injury to his left kneecap following a collision during training, but he is already doing everything possible to participate in the first round of the MXGP World Championship scheduled in Argentina.

Despite Elzinga's absence, to whom we wish a speedy recovery so we can see him back on the track soon, the Beta MRT Racing team is ready to kick off the season with high ambitions on the Alghero track.
