Star Racing Yamaha rider Haiden Deegan will wear the number one plate on the west coast of 2026 Monster Energy Supercross 2026. No doubt the bright lights of A1 and its importance a part of the reason for his decision. Nothing beats A1 when it comes to big events, for big riders.

The defendng champion will race A1 on the 250, after racing the 450 machine in two rounds of the World Supercross in Argentina and Australia.

Despite showing great speed against the likes of Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen, Cooper Webb and Jason Anderson, the 250 motocross and supercross champion will return to the small bike class.

Deegan’s 2026 contract has him racing the 250 in supercross, then jump to the 450 full-time for the Pro Motocross and the SMX Playoffs. Jason Weigandt of RacerX spoke to Haiden's father, Brian, yesterday and he confirmed the 19 year old the team's plan is to still get back on the 250 now and race 250SX West, then use the off weeks when 250SX East competes to focus on testing and riding a 450 for motocross back home.
