Herlings Set For France
Of course, Jeffrey Herlings gets another shot at a victory this weekend as he races the Elite French championship round at Romagné in the centre of France. Below is the entries. Thibault Benistant and Kevin Horgmo will try and keep the Dutchman in sight, no doubt.
After the events in Castelnau-de-Lévis and Saint-Jean d'Angély, the 24MX Tour is preparing its return to Brittany for a third round that promises to be explosive. Good news for MX fans, the Moto-Club de Romagné has reached an agreement with Jeffrey Herlings who will be behind the MX1 grid on his HRC Honda.
After a great start to the MXGP world championship, winner in Trentino a few days ago, the Dutch star loves the French circuit and is delighted to come and challenge the Elite riders. All the volunteers of the MC have been hard at work for several weeks to prepare an event that is fast approaching.
On the program, a legendary guest-star, the best drivers of our beautiful championship, a beautiful topsoil that forms good ruts, a loyal audience and a Breton atmosphere that the drivers love.
Winner of all the rounds on the 24MX Tour MX2, also solid leader of the European championship, Francisco Garcia is the man to beat. For the moment, he is ahead of his Kawasaki Bud Racing teammate Jake Canon and the duo Alexis Fueri/Jules Piètre who have the same number of points in the standings. On the box in Saint-Jean (P3), the reigning MX2 champion Mathys Boisramé is also back in great shape. On his home turf in Brittany, the KTM 737 Performance rider has all the cards in hand to win.
Also to be followed, Tom Brunet and Thibault Maupin, not to mention the three-time French champion Pierre Goupillon who is back in the championship for fun with his new electric Stark Varg. On the MX1 side, the championship is particularly tight as Thibault Bénistant (Honda SR Motoblouz), Maxime Desprey (Yamaha GSM Dafy Michelin) and Kevin Horgmo (Honda SR Motoblouz) are separated by only eight small units to the advantage of the former.
Adrien Malaval, Brice Maylin and Tom Guyon are also very effective and are solid outsiders who will also have a great card to play next weekend! And as mentioned above, we remind you of the exceptional presence of Jeffrey Herlings, winner of the Trentino GP last Sunday. For all these reasons, Romagné is not to be missed. The 24MX Tour in Brittany is the meeting place for all enthusiasts. We are counting on you!
